Hormone Therapy in Jupiter

NovaGenix provides a variety of services designed to help balance or improve your hormones.

Hormone Therapy in Jupiter

Testosterone Replacement Therapy

Men begin to lose 1-2% of their natural testosterone levels per year starting in their 20’s. This means that by the time a male is in his 40s, he may have nearly a 1/3 drop in his hormone levels. Low T therapy returns a man to their optimal hormone levels so that they can look, feel and live better.

Bio-Identical Hormone Therapy for Women

As a woman’s hormonal cycle slows down, her fertility slows, her periods become irregular, and her chemical balance feels drastically off. This can be a challenging time, stressing your body both physically and emotionally. Women suffering from menopause or perimenopause can seek relief through bio-identical hormone replacement therapy.

Thyroid Hormone Treatments

Low thyroid levels are responsible for many of the symptoms associated with aging. The correct thyroid treatment can help you boost your energy levels, lose weight, or even sleep better. When you come to our office, we’ll examine your thyroid gland and formulate any necessary treatment.

Sermorelin Therapy

Sermorelin acetate is a human growth hormone-releasing hormone with anti-aging properties. When you come to our office, we’ll help you determine whether it can address any of the symptoms you’re experiencing.

Ipamorelin Therapy

Much like Sermorelin, Ipamorelin signals the pituitary gland to release more natural growth hormones. A blood test will demonstrate your IGF-1 levels, which allows us to determine if Ipamorelin is right for you.

hCG Therapy Online

Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) is used for both testosterone production and weight loss. If you want hCG in the United States, you’ll need a doctor’s prescription. We understand it can be difficult for some people to get to a doctor’s office, which is why we offer online hCG consultations with our Board-Certified physician.

Blood Work Request Form

This subsequent lab panel is necessary for males undergoing Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) through NovaGenix Health and Wellness. It allows physicians to assess the patient's response to prescribed medications, covering sex hormone levels, thyroid function, adrenal health, hematocrit, and liver and kidney function. The panel includes tests such as:

  • Complete Blood Count
  • Comprehensive Metabolic Panel
  • Testosterone (Free and Total)
  • Estradiol Sensitive
  • Thyroid Stimulating Hormone
  • Prostate Specific Antigen

Each test serves a specific purpose in monitoring overall health and treatment effectiveness. When required, Dr Mackey may require LH and FSH (Luteinizing hormone, follicle stimulating hormone) SHBG (Sex hormone binding globulin) or any other tests which may be important for your health and optimizing your hormones.

The Comprehensive Hormone and Wellness Panel for Women offers a foundational assessment of sex hormones, thyroid function, adrenal health, metabolic activity, and overall well-being. This panel serves as a diagnostic tool for identifying testosterone and estrogen deficiencies, assessing health risks, and detecting potential thyroid issues before considering hormone replacement therapy. Additionally, it includes insights into hematocrit (red blood cell volume), as well as liver and kidney function. The panel encompasses various tests such as:

  • Complete Blood Count (CBC)
  • Complete Metabolic Panel
  • Testosterone (free and total)
  • Estradiol
  • Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH)
  • Progesterone

When indicated, Dr. Mackey may require additional tests such as Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH), and IGF-1 and Cortisol.

Physician-reviewed low-T blood testing

Low Testosterone Testing in Jupiter, FL

Symptoms such as fatigue, reduced libido, changes in mood, difficulty maintaining muscle, increased body fat, or reduced motivation can have many possible causes. A physician-directed evaluation and blood testing can help clarify whether low testosterone may be contributing.

NovaGenix provides physician-reviewed low-testosterone testing from its only office at 609 N. Hepburn Avenue, Suite 106, Jupiter, FL 33458. Laboratory testing is completed through Labcorp using a NovaGenix requisition.

Patients elsewhere in the state can continue care through online TRT in Florida.

Start with the signals

Could your symptoms be related to low testosterone?

Low testosterone can affect energy, sexual health, mood, strength, and body composition—but these symptoms can also have other causes. Testing helps replace guessing with useful clinical information.

If low sex drive is your main concern, that symptom has its own evaluation path.

01

Energy and focus

Persistent fatigue, reduced motivation, difficulty concentrating, or feeling less resilient than usual.

02

Sexual health

Lower libido, fewer spontaneous erections, or changes in sexual performance.

03

Strength and recovery

Reduced muscle mass, slower recovery, declining exercise capacity, or increased body fat.

04

Mood and sleep

Irritability, low mood, disrupted sleep, or a noticeable change in overall well-being.

05

Bone and metabolic health

Long-term testosterone deficiency may be associated with changes in bone density and metabolic health.

06

Fertility goals

Your plans for future fertility matter because testosterone therapy can suppress sperm production.

Important: Symptoms alone do not diagnose testosterone deficiency. Diagnosis generally requires compatible symptoms plus consistently low testosterone measurements evaluated by a qualified clinician.
Your testing journey

How low-T testing works

NovaGenix keeps the process understandable and physician guided from the first conversation through follow-up.

If you are still deciding what treatment may involve, read Dr. Mackey’s answers to the questions men ask before starting TRT.

1

Request the lab panel

Contact NovaGenix or use the blood-work request form below.

2

Receive a Labcorp requisition

NovaGenix provides the order needed to complete testing through Labcorp.

3

Complete the blood draw

Come early in the morning if you can, and stop biotin supplements 72 hours beforehand. You do not need to fast.

4

Have your results reviewed by Dr. Mackey

He considers laboratory findings together with symptoms, medical history, medications, risk factors, and other relevant information.

5

Discuss appropriate next steps

Recommendations are individualized. Testing does not guarantee a diagnosis, prescription, treatment, or outcome.

Patients traveling from West Palm Beach and elsewhere in Palm Beach County can complete the draw at any Florida Labcorp location instead of coming to Jupiter.

What is measured

What the $125 male hormone lab panel includes

The panel supports a clinical evaluation; it does not by itself diagnose low testosterone or guarantee that treatment will be recommended.

Total and free testosteroneCirculating and tissue-available testosterone
Sensitive estradiolHormone balance information
Prostate-specific antigen (PSA)Prostate-related screening
HematocritRed blood cell measurement
All other tests are determined by individual patient need. Dr. Mackey may order additional testing based on symptoms, history, prior results, age, medications, and physician judgment.

What the evaluation includes

A low testosterone evaluation is more than a single number. Alongside the blood panel, Dr. Mackey reviews a medical history questionnaire and a physical exam. The blood test measures both free and total testosterone. Depending on the results, he may request additional testing of liver, kidney, and cardiac function before making a diagnosis.

NovaGenix does not treat any single laboratory value as an automatic trigger. Dr. Mackey weighs your past medical history, your signs and symptoms, your goals and your lab results together, case by case.

Results in context

Why one testosterone number is not the whole picture

Testosterone levels can vary with time of day, sleep, illness, medications, nutrition, and other health factors. A result that is low or borderline should be interpreted in clinical context. Depending on the circumstances, Dr. Mackey may recommend repeat or additional testing before discussing treatment options.

Laboratories also measure free testosterone in more than one way, and the results are not numerically interchangeable — a value that reads normal by one method can read markedly low by another. The method and the units always have to accompany the number, so check which appears on your own report.

If treatment is clinically appropriate, learn more about physician-led testosterone replacement therapy, or meet Timothy W. Mackey, D.O.

Physician-guided options

What happens if your testosterone is low?

A

Look for contributing factors

Sleep, weight, medications, illness, stress, and other hormone conditions may influence symptoms and testosterone levels.

B

Discuss treatment choices

When treatment is appropriate, Dr. Mackey explains potential benefits, limitations, risks, alternatives, and monitoring.

C

Protect future goals

Fertility plans should be discussed before starting TRT because outside testosterone can suppress sperm production.

When weight is part of the picture

If your low testosterone is related to weight

The Endocrine Society’s July 2026 statement on testosterone replacement is direct about this: for men whose low testosterone is obesity-related, weight loss is typically the first-line therapy. That is worth saying plainly, even from a clinic that provides testosterone therapy.

The two are not alternatives. Testosterone therapy is associated with improvements in energy, body composition and muscle mass. Losing weight independently improves testosterone levels. For a man who qualifies medically for both, they can run together — each addressing part of the same picture.

NovaGenix offers physician-directed medical weight management alongside hormone therapy. Whether either or both are appropriate for you is a clinical determination Dr. Mackey makes after evaluation. Medical weight loss in Jupiter

Frequently asked questions

Clear answers before you schedule

Where is NovaGenix located?

NovaGenix has one office at 609 N. Hepburn Avenue, Suite 106, Jupiter, FL 33458.

How much is the male hormone lab panel?

The current male hormone lab panel price is $125. Additional or repeat tests may involve separate costs if the physician determines they are needed.

Do I need to fast before my blood draw?

No. None of the tests on this panel is affected by whether you have eaten. Fasting requirements usually come from companion tests bundled into the same order, such as a metabolic or lipid panel. If one of those is added to your requisition, the office will tell you beforehand.

What if I cannot get to the lab in the morning?

Testosterone is highest in the morning, which is why the guidelines call for an early draw. If work or family makes that impossible, come anyway and tell us what time you were drawn. Dr. Mackey will interpret the result knowing when it was taken, and may ask for a morning repeat before reaching a conclusion.

Does a low result mean I will receive testosterone therapy?

No. A laboratory result is only part of a medical evaluation. There is no guaranteed treatment or outcome.

Your fertility plans are part of that conversation, because they can change which treatment is appropriate.

Does testosterone therapy cause prostate cancer?

The AUA and the Endocrine Society emphasise this differently, and both positions are current. The AUA directs clinicians to inform patients of “the absence of evidence linking testosterone therapy to the development of prostate cancer.” The Endocrine Society, in its July 2026 statement, describes long-term prostate cancer risk as still unestablished. Neither says testosterone causes prostate cancer. They differ on how settled the long-term picture is. A baseline PSA before therapy and monitoring during it remain standard care.

Will testosterone therapy affect my fertility?

Yes. Testosterone suppresses the pituitary signals that drive sperm production, and the AUA states it should not be prescribed to men who are currently trying to conceive. If children are a possibility — now or later — raise it at your first appointment. There are approaches that account for fertility, including hCG therapy, and they work best chosen deliberately before therapy starts.

How often will I need blood work if I start therapy?

Dr. Mackey asks patients to have labs drawn 8 to 10 weeks after starting treatment, and every 6 months after that — unless there is a clinical reason for more, or you want more.

Symptom screen

ADAM questionnaire for low testosterone

The following ten questions screen for symptoms associated with low testosterone. Answer yes or no to each and submit, and we will follow up with you.

This is not meant to diagnose or treat you — it is meant to give you an idea of whether it is worth speaking with a physician. Your physician will discuss your symptoms and use properly timed bloodwork to determine whether your testosterone levels are actually low. To speak with someone at NovaGenix, call 561-277-8260.
