Our Story

Founded in Jupiter in 2016

NovaGenix began with a friendship. Tim Bruce and Andy Stock met through Brazilian jiu-jitsu and, after years working around healthcare, recognized an opportunity to build a clinic around a more personal approach to health and wellness.

Tim and Andy later met and partnered with Dr. Timothy Mackey. Together, their operational experience, interest in performance and wellness, and Dr. Mackey’s medical leadership became the foundation of NovaGenix. The first clinic opened in Jupiter, Florida.

What began as a single local clinic has grown into a physician-led practice serving patients in person and, when appropriate, through Florida telemedicine — while keeping the same emphasis on evaluation, education, access and long-term patient relationships.

What began as a single Jupiter clinic in 2016 has grown into a physician-led health and wellness practice serving patients throughout South Florida and, when appropriate, across Florida through telemedicine.

NovaGenix focuses on hormone optimization, testosterone replacement therapy, women’s hormone care, medical weight management, peptide therapy, sexual health, regenerative medicine and related wellness services. The underlying philosophy remains consistent: evaluate the individual first, then decide whether treatment is appropriate.

Under the medical direction of Dr. Timothy Mackey, treatment decisions incorporate medical history, symptoms, laboratory findings, candidacy and ongoing monitoring. Tim Bruce, Andy Stock, Tonya and the rest of the team help patients navigate that process from the first conversation through long-term follow-up.

The People Behind NovaGenix

Meet the Team

The backgrounds behind NovaGenix span medicine, science education, healthcare operations, athletics, military service and fitness. Those different experiences have shaped the practice since its founding.

Medical Director

Timothy Mackey, D.O.

Dr. Mackey is a Florida-licensed osteopathic physician with internal-medicine training and more than two decades in clinical practice. A former non-commissioned officer in the U.S. Army, he oversees patient evaluation, treatment decisions and ongoing medical monitoring at NovaGenix.

Co-Founder

Tim Bruce

A University of Delaware graduate with a master’s degree in science education, Tim Bruce is a former collegiate athlete and Palm Beach County volunteer firefighter. Before NovaGenix, he also worked in the emerging field of telemedicine, gaining early experience with technology-enabled healthcare.

As a co-founder, Tim has helped build NovaGenix through operations, patient education, community outreach and public visibility. His Brazilian jiu-jitsu background and appearances in local media, including CBS12 and the Palm Beach Post, are part of the practice’s real South Florida history.

Co-Founder

Andy Stock

Andy Stock attended Florida Atlantic University, where he studied exercise science. He began his career as a personal trainer before entering healthcare, where he managed medical clinics in Palm Beach County.

That combination of exercise science, fitness and healthcare operations helped shape the practical side of NovaGenix. Andy and Tim first became friends through Brazilian jiu-jitsu, a connection that ultimately became part of the NovaGenix origin story.

Patient Experience & Operations

Tonya

Tonya attended Clemson University and later served in the United States Marine Corps. She is also a mother, former kickboxer and Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt.

Her background in military service, athletics and family life brings a distinctive combination of discipline, resilience and real-world perspective to the patient experience at NovaGenix.
